THE SYMBIOTICSM OF LEADERSHIP AND FOLLOWERSHIP

The symbioticsm that exists between leadership and followership cannot put the blame on one side without it affecting the other. 

Leadership and followership are a Siamese concept. 

Any problem in followership is to be shaped by leadership. 

Any leadership problem is equally to be solved by followership.

In the end,  leadership is never a title. 

Leadership is a responsibility. 

If we get that angle,  we won't have a problem fixing our society. 

The challenge is the attitude towards leadership and followership in Africa,  which is hierarchical in nature. 

The future really is in redefining leadership as we know and see it.

The real problem in Africa is poverty.  Understanding leadership is an art and a science.

If you know Abraham Maslow, the motivational psychologist well enough,  you will agree with him when he said that "Arts and science does not thrive where people are hungry "

The problem of leadership and followership is connected to our poverty. 

If we unlock the national prosperity codes, people will begin to show interest in things that guarantees their self esteem and self actualisation needs. 

until then,  safety and security needs will continue to take preponderance and determine how people vote and assess government and performance.  (by how much their personal economy is doing and not how the nations socioeconomic  environment is improving)

As at today, you cannot blame followership. 
the problem is at the court of POVERTY.
