ATIKU'S WEALTH AND THE OTHERS

Whether you are a fan of Atiku Abubakar or not,  whoever you support is  your choice.  Not a problem to me. 

Issue is, I keep asking why successive administrations (including the present one) remain incapacitated,  when it comes to trying and getting him convincted for any crime whatsoever. 

Even if he is indicted in a foreign land,  it is not a court judgement or a trial from a court of competent jurisdiction  to the best of my knowledge.  As at today,  the country where he has been indicted  refused to charge the matter to court.  Why?

For those saying he made his wealth as public servant,  I don't know any public servant who  didn't make their money in service.  I just don't have any proof to make specific allegations. 

Just so you know,  Atiku Abubakar was already a Billionaire as a Presidential Aspirant in 1992-3. He co-founded a company with Gabriele Volpi in the early 80's known as INTELS SERVICES which is still running till date. 

Are you even aware he sold majority stakes in the company to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TINUBU,  former Governor of Lagos State and National leader of  the APC?

He is not the only former Custom boss,  he is not the only former Vice President. 

How many of them (former customs bosses and Vice Presidents)  run successful businesses? 

We all know one or two people who were children of rich military officers under Generals Ibrahim Babangida and  Sanni Abacha.  Their Father made so much money stealing from our Commonwealth. 

Today,  those men who stole so much because of their position in the army do not have a single profitable business they run other than basic things like buildings they get rent from,  petrol stations and maybe a couple of regular hotels around town. Many live a quiet life in retirement or are nursing one ailment or the other which arose as result of sudden wealth without a plan and purpose.

They have no reasonable businesses to their names and legacy,  for those that are gone.  I saw one property recently belonging to a retired General and could not but laugh in pain.  How does a person steal so much and still become irrelevant?

The building I saw and inspected had a massive swimming pool,  a massive garden,  100 KVA generator, a basketball court and a tennis court all standing in waste and totally dilapidated. 

So,  what has kept ATIKU's businesses running
despite leaving the customs in the early 80's and the Vice Presidency in 2007?

I would like to know or hear your views.
