STILL ON MILITARY VERSUS PROTESTERS CLASH IN ABUJA: FEAR PROSTESTERS SHOUTING "ALLAHU AKBAR"

Northern Islamic protesters are not like you southwestern protesters.  They are always ready to die! when a man is ready to die,  your job is not to shoot him because he has conquered the fear of death. Your job is to diplomatically disarm him.

For those of you who like to ignorantly support the use of force where diplomacy is required,    I recommend you study the rise of The Islamic Revolutionary Army in Iran.

When the Shah of Iran,  Muhammad Razza Pahlavi  sent Ayatollah Khomeini on exile , under his brutish rule over the kingdom,  he started killing people using the secret police called the SAVAK.

IN 1979, Ayatollah Khomeini, after bidding his time and knowing that the Shah of Iran, Muhammad Razza Pahlavi, has lost some measure of power and control with the USA,   did a broadcast from Paris and called on all Muslims in the country to fight with their blood to save Iran. He specifically said that it was Allah who had commanded the Jihad against infidels who had taken over the land.

Guess what happened next?

The citizens of Iran mobilised and took over the American Embassy. Did you read me right?  They took over the well secured embassy of the United States with matchettes,  stones and small weapons in large numbers.

They seized American diplomats and military attaches in the compound.  Do you know what saved all the people inside the Embassy?

The captain leading the military  attaches at the Embassy clearly told his soldiers that if they as much as kill one  or even shoot to kill,  that will give the protesters the Alibi to kill each and every one of them inside the Embassy.

That was what saved all the military men at the American Embassy on November 4,1979. They only took hostage of 52 embassy officials and ensured nothing happened to them.   If the American soldiers had made any effort to shoot the protesters,  all of them at the Embassy would have been killed in retaliation.

When you shoot prostesting citizens because they are angry and pelting stones,  you empower them.  They will quickly,  upon realising that they have lost members,  mobilise to confront you their perceived enemy.

The Shah, sick and  a bit broke, overpowered by the mobilised citizens,  quickly escaped to the US where he later died of cancer.  His efforts to get America on his side didn't work.

Henry Kissinger,  despite his very close relationship with the Shah,  ignored him and ensured he only got a place to rest before dying.

While many of you do not value diplomacy over the usage of brute force,  history is replete with occurrences where ordinary people have done extraordinary things based on the belief that they are doing it for God.

The news coming in from Abuja is not good at all.

If you are supporting that the military,  at the slightest provocation, use force to kill people,  always remember that it will never solve anything.

Particularly  when the victims are members of a religious sect.  What if they decide to embark on a guerrilla warfare like that of the Boko Haram?

Will you be safe?

Will your family be safe?

Don't just stay behind the computer and be chatting about what you don't know.

How many revolutionary  stories have you read?

What do you know about guerrilla warfare and how it usually starts?

How did Boko Haram  start?

A word is enough for the wise.

By the way,  please read about The Iranian Hostage Crisis of 1979 to learn a thing or two.

May Nigeria succeed!
