HOW DOES NIGERIA TREAT HER HEROES ?
This is the Ogbomosho Home of Late Samuel Ladoke Akintola, former Premier of the Western region.
I got to this house yesterday hoping to see a tour guide, a visitors form and a museum created from the life of one of Nigeria's greatest sons from the Southwest.
Alas, welcoming me was a mentally challenged woman who had converted the gate B into a Kitchen where she prepares her meals on the one end, and take a nap of soliloquy on the other.
As I took shots of the expansive mansion, no doubt the best house in town in its days, a tear dropped down my face.
This is my country.
This is Oyo State.
This is one of Nigeria's early political titans that I read so much about nearly on all post colonial literature on Nigerian politics, nationalism and administration.
How do we treat our heroes?
