YOU WILL NEED TO COLLABORATE MORE IN 2019
In 2019, organisations, particularly SMEs , will need to collaborate more to get ahead.
One reason is because major brands are now thinking more like small businesses with units competing with businesses in that sector.
For instance, banks are organising fairs, selling airtime, selling consumer electronics, cloths, Computers, automobiles and just about anything you can think of.
The SME brand that hopes to survive must be ready to think beyond going it alone.
If you sell fabrics, you want to be sure you are collaborating with a good designer.
If you run a school, you want to be sure that you are collaborating with school supply manufacturers or distributors.
If you make shoes, you want to consider Distros that have good grounds.
If you grow crops, you want to be sure you can collaborate with fast food restaurants
From the strategic directions of most major brands, we are projecting an economic environment where major brands will use their big names to muscle smaller brands in their traditional spaces.
You can use collaboration creatively in many ways.
Some include:
1. Marketing
2. Sales
3. Production
4. Logistics
5. Space
6. Human Resource
7. CoBranding (You can creatively leverage on brands with good reputation and image to catch in on more revenue and growth.)
The days of trying to appear big just for the sake of it are over.
Today, people want real value for their money and the big brands know this much and are adjusting.
